Code of Conduct
Members should maintain high business ethics, recognized standards, and avoid dealings that could bring the Association or manufacturing sector into disrepute.
The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) was established in May 1971 to provide a common voice for manufacturers and a focal point of consultation between industry, government, and the public.
To discharge its role as an effective business association, MAN expects members to loyally meet responsibilities and obligations that preserve trust, data quality, and industrial standards.
Members should maintain high business ethics, recognized standards, and avoid dealings that could bring the Association or manufacturing sector into disrepute.
Members are required to pay annual subscription and provide returns needed for assessment of subscription due.
Members should promptly provide data and information requested by MAN and participate constructively in representations and meetings.
Members may be required to support Association activities financially, including sponsorship where requested.
Members are expected to participate in MAN training programmes to improve product quality and manpower capacity.
Members should demonstrate responsible citizenship and support host communities through utilities, order, and philanthropic activities.
Any member acting in a manner prejudicial to the interest of the Association may be excluded on recommendation of the National Council and confirmation at a General Meeting. Resigning members are required to give at least three months written notice and settle subscriptions due.
Prospective members can review these responsibilities before completing the membership application form.
