About MAN

The acknowledged representative of Nigeria's manufacturing sector

Since May 1971, the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria has provided manufacturers with a common voice, a policy platform, and a disciplined channel of engagement with government, stakeholders, and the public.

Purpose

A platform built for industrial growth

MAN was established as a company limited by guarantee to create a focal point of communication and consultation between industry, government, and the general public. Before its creation, there was no institutional organ whose central focus was to give practical meaning to the interests, problems, and aspirations of the manufacturing sector.

The Association exists to create a climate of opinion in which manufacturers can operate efficiently and profitably for the benefit of all. It promotes and protects manufacturers' collective interests through advocacy, research, consultation, business information, and direct intervention on issues affecting members.

Vision

To be the key driver for industrialization, sustainable economic growth and development in Nigeria.

Mission

To promote manufacturers' interests by deepening advocacy and partnership with national and international economic actors, government, organized private sector, host communities, and stakeholders.

Competitiveness

To strengthen manufacturing sector competitiveness, contribution to job creation, and GDP through research, development, new technologies, and environmental sustainability.

What MAN Does

Advocacy, coordination, and practical support for members

  • Formulates and communicates manufacturers' policy positions on industrial, labour, social, legal, training, and technical matters.
  • Promotes the contribution of manufacturing to the national economy through engagement with government and institutions.
  • Encourages quality standards, information sharing, business advisory support, and patronage of members' products at home and abroad.
  • Liaises with kindred bodies and stakeholders on matters of common industrial interest.

Industry at the policy table

MAN's advocacy connects the realities of manufacturers with public policy decisions that shape production, investment, and jobs.
