Advocacy

Legislative advocacy for Nigerian manufacturing

MAN monitors bills, laws, and legislative proposals to ensure the voice of manufacturers is represented in policy and lawmaking processes.

Legislative Advocacy

Engaging the lawmaking process in defence of manufacturing

MAN's legislative advocacy focuses on laws and bills that affect production, taxation, local patronage, trade, infrastructure, and the overall cost of doing business. The Association works to ensure that manufacturers are not only affected by policy but heard in the process of shaping it.

The passage of the Buy-Made-In-Nigeria Bill by the Senate in early 2017 remains an important reference point in MAN's advocacy for local patronage and stronger domestic industrial capacity.

Bill Review

Monitoring proposals that may affect manufacturers before they become binding obligations.

Position Papers

Preparing evidence-based submissions that reflect the realities and priorities of manufacturers.

Local Patronage

Supporting legislation and policy measures that encourage demand for Made-in-Nigeria products.
